Tweezing, threading, waxing, micro-blading and more. Our eyebrows go through so much to frame our beautiful faces that it’s only right that we give them a little extra love during our skincare routines. So if you’re like me and have ever wondered the proper protocol for cleansing and moisturizing your eyebrows, as they aren’t just skin but hair too (this is a safe space, right?)
Here are a few ways you can condition and care for your brows:
With all the filling and pomades, and everyday dirt, we owe our brows a good scrubbing. Although it may feel natural to not apply facial cleanser or scrubs to brows (some products even recommend avoiding brows), giving them their own little shampooing is a key aspect of skincare. Bacteria and impurities can easily get trapped and affect the surrounding skin so if you’ve ever tried pinpointing a nearby breakout, your eyebrows could be the culprit. To get the cleansing party starter, a personal favorite eye makeup remover of mine is coconut oil.
Hair is hair and your eyebrows need conditioning too. Of course, this can be completed during the moisturizing phase of your skincare routine. Finding the best moisturizer for your brows may be the tricky part, but less is more is the way to go. A lightweight moisturizer (and just a little) will go a long way. And if you’re a coconut oil, shea butter or vaseline gal, these work perfectly as well. Keeping brows moisturized will help with growth, and even combat signs of aging.
We all know that too much of anything can be a bad thing. Unfortunately, makeup falls into that category and sometimes you gotta give brows a rest. Your skin and brows will thank you. That’s it, that’s all.
After pampering your brows, as they deserve, Brow Charm has a Stencil Kit to give your perfectly shaped brows in seconds. Including spoolies for grooming, 6 shape options and a powder stamp, this kit has everything you need for a beautiful fill.
